Ophthalmology :: Oculoplastic and Ophthalmic Oncology

UT Medical Group's specialists are trained in the prevention and care of complex eye disorders.

Our Physicians can provide surgical and medical solutions for conditions such as ophthalmic cancers, inflammatory conditions, tear duct disorders, and problems caused by trauma to the eye and/or face.

Specialists in various areas of ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery utilizing diverse resources participate in the diagnosis and treatment of vision-threatening disorders. They emphasize early detection and prevention when possible.

While it is important to see an ophthalmologist regularly (at least once every two years is a good guideline), if you notice any of the following symptoms, an appointment should be made immediately:

  • pain or prolonged redness in the eye
  • discharge from the eye
  • severe headaches
  • sensitivity to light
  • a sudden change in vision (blurriness, dimming, seeing spots)

Once a problem is discovered, our specialists can determine a plan of treatment.
