While it is important to see an ophthalmologist regularly (at least once every two years is a good guideline), if you notice any of the following symptoms, an appointment should be made immediately:
- pain or prolonged redness in the eye
- discharge from the eye
- severe headaches
- sensitivity to light
- a sudden change in vision (blurriness, dimming, seeing spots)
