Psychiatry

UT Medical Group, Inc.'s Psychiatry Department helps both children and adults deal with emotional and social problems, ranging from depression and substance abuse to eating disorders and schizophrenia. While much is still to be learned about these conditions, researchers now know that many of them are caused by biological and social or environmental factors. Fortunately, most of these illnesses can be treated effectively with medications and/or psychotherapy.

UT Medical Group's interdisciplinary team of board-certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists, and clinical social workers offer personalized, compassionate care that focuses on improving quality of life. With this goal in mind, we work with patients so they are able to understand their problems, acquire long-term coping skills, and manage situations independently after they leave our care.
