General Internal Medicine
UT Medical Group, Inc.'s division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine is comprised of physicians on the faculty of the University Of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis who offer both clinical and consultation services and are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. They may also have additional certification in other medical subspecialties.
General Internal Medicine is concerned with the general care of the adult patient. Combining aspects of many disciplines, the Internal Medicine physician looks at the body as a whole to diagnose and treat a wide variety of symptoms, illnesses, and diseases. Diagnostic procedures include physical examinations and a host of diagnostic procedures and clinical tests.
Concerned with many aspects of medicine, Internists are aware of the ways that different parts of the body and different systems interact. Their broad clinical knowledge can be used to encourage preventive medicine and good health practices while delivering patient-centered effective medical care.
Whether you are in need of specialized diagnosis and care of a medical condition, or you simply need an annual physical exam, UT Medical Group has doctors to meet your needs. Patient care is our first concern.
Often, illnesses affect many areas of the body and may require evaluation and treatment by several types of doctors. Our doctors can easily call on their colleagues in other specialties for consultation. Locations throughout the Memphis area make quality health care convenient to you and your family.
