UT Medical Group, Inc.'s Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine is comprised of physicians on the faculty of the University Of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis who offer both clinical and consultation services and are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine Subspecialty Board on Hematology
Hematology is concerned with diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders affecting the blood, bone marrow, and the immune, blood-clotting and blood vessel systems. Blood diseases include among others: Anemia, Abnormal Blood Cholesterol, Hemophilia, Hemostasis, High Blood Pressure, HIV/AIDS, Leukemia, Sickle Cell Disease, Thalassemia and Thrombosis.
