UT Medical Group, Inc.'s division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics is comprised of physicians on the faculty of the University Of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis who offer both clinical and consultation services and are certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a General Pediatrics Certification.

General Pediatrics offers comprehensive medical treatment for children from birth through adolescence, including preventive care, treatments of acute illnesses, as well as on-going treatment of chronic conditions. Working with specialists from other areas, pediatricians look at the child as a whole and are aware of the ways in which different parts of the body and different systems interact. Their extensive clinical knowledge of children and their diseases and disorders are used to good health practices while delivering effective child-centered medical care.

Often, illnesses affect many areas of the body and may require evaluation and treatment by several types of doctors.
