Pediatric Radiology
UT Medical Group, Inc.'s Division of Pediatric Radiology in the Department of Pediatrics is comprised of physicians on the faculty of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis who offer both clinical and consultation services and are certified by the American Board of Radiology in Pediatric Radiology.
Pediatric radiology is a subspecialty of diagnostic radiology that encompasses imaging procedures for the diagnosis of diseases of infants and children, such as plain film radiography, contrast studies, ultrasonography, nuclear radiology, computerized tomography, digital radiography, angiography, interventional techniques and magnetic resonance imaging.
A board-certified pediatric radiologist is one who has demonstrated knowledge, problem-solving, and application of those skills to a degree worthy of the public’s and the profession’s trust.
