Urology Department Adds Specialist In Female And Neuro-UrologyFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - October 23, 2006
Dr. Michael A. Aleman has joined the department of urology at UT Medical Group, Inc. as a specialist in female and neuro-urology. He has also been named assistant professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine.
Aleman’s addition to the staff enhances the department’s minimally invasive services for women with pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence as well as services for men and women who suffer from bladder or voiding dysfunction and related urological conditions. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship in female urology and neuro-urology, with special training in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse at Cleveland Clinic’s Glickman Urological Institute.
