Jackson Clinic Offers Specialized Care to Children with Lung Conditions
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - 10/24/07

UT Medical Group Inc. now offers physician consultations in Jackson for children with lung problems, such as asthma and cystic fibrosis.

Pediatric pulmonologists Dr. Dennis Stokes and Dr. Robert Schoumacher care for infants, children, and adolescents on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the Jackson clinic. The office is located at the Le Bonheur Community Services building, 77 Stoneridge Boulevard, off the Highway 45-North Bypass. Appointments are offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and may be made by calling 901-287-5222.

In addition to cystic fibrosis and asthma, the clinic also provides treatment for other common respiratory conditions, including recurrent pneumonia, breathing-related exercise problems, chronic cough, bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), and sleep problems. When needed, more intensive medical therapy is offered at UTMG's primary pediatric clinics in Memphis and Germantown.

Both Stokes and Schoumacher have been named among the Best Doctors® in the nation for pediatric pulmonology care. They are board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology, and Schoumacher is also board-certified in sleep medicine.
