UT Medical Group Names New Physicians

Memphis, Tennessee (February 3, 2006) UT Medical Group Inc. has made the following appointments to its medical staff:
Dr. Jeff L. Myers was named UT Medical Group chief of pediatric cardiothoracic surgery and associate professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). He was formerly chief of pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans. Myers specializes in correcting congenital heart defects and other cardiac conditions in infants and children and has a special interest in heart transplantation, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, neonatal pulmonary circulation, and ventricular assist devices. Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, he cares for patients at UTMG offices in the Memphis Medical Center and Germantown. Dr. Edward J. Lazarus joined the UT Medical Group department of obstetrics and gynecology as a board-certified gynecologist and UTHSC clinical assistant professor. He comes to UTMG from New Orleans, where he was formerly on the faculty of Tulane University Health Science Center and Touro Infirmary. Lazarus specializes in abnormal uterine bleeding, contraception, sonohysteroscopy, and fibroids. He was recently named to the 2006 Best Doctors in America® database in the area of gynecology. Lazarus cares for patients at UTMG offices in Memphis, 901-448-6632, and Germantown, 901-347-8320.
Dr. Robert W. Enzenauer joined the department of ophthalmology pediatrics division and has a special interest in strabismus and blocked tear ducts. He was also named professor at the UT Health Science Center. One of only eight specialists in the nation with board-certification in both pediatrics and ophthalmology, he is also certified in aerospace medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and has a masters degree in public health and a masters degree in strategic studies. Formerly on the faculty of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, he now cares for patients at the UT Hamilton Eye Institute, (901) 448-6650.
