Learn How To Trigger Behavioral Change With Motivational Interviewing

Vanderbilt University assistant professor of psychiatry Brian D. Haworth, Psy.D. will lead a professional seminar on motivational interviewing at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) Student Alumni Center, 800 Madison Ave., Room 305, on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  The event is co-sponsored by UT Medical Group Inc. (UTMG) and St. Francis Hospital.

Haworth has been a member of the Vanderbilt faculty since 2005.  He is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in child, adolescent, and family therapy.

The seminar is designed for clinicians to include social workers, nurses, psychologists and physicians. This seminar will provide six contact hours for social workers, 6 CE hours for psychologists and 6 CME for physicians.  Registration is $75 for the general public and $45 for registrants affiliated with the UTHSC, UTMG, or St. Francis.  There is a $10 discount for registrations received by Oct. 16. On-site registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the seminar.  A continental breakfast and lunch are included in this registration fee.
