FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 13, 2007 Dr. Dennis C. Stokes has been named chief of pediatric pulmonology at UT Medical Group Inc. and professor of pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Medicine. A board-certified pediatric pulmonologist who has consistently been named among America’s Best Doctors®, Stokes is known for his expertise in asthma and cystic fibrosis. He comes to Memphis from Dartmouth Medical School, where he was professor of pediatrics and director for the New Hampshire Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Center. Stokes earned his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and received a master’s degree in public health from Indiana University-Purdue University. He completed his medical internship and pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and fellowship training at Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Harvard University Medical School. He cares for patients at UT Medical Group offices in Germantown at 7945 Wolf River Boulevard and in Memphis at 777 Washington Avenue, across from Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center. |
