At our Germantown clinic several creative pumpkin designs were on display in the building’s atrium as part of the facility’s annual decorating contest. The competition is always hot and heavy as departments seek to outdo each other and previous winners. Both employees and patients are invited to vote for their favorite design. One out-of-town resident even called the building to find out when the contest would begin so she could schedule her mammogram at the Methodist Breast Diagnostic Center during that time period. “She takes pictures while she is here to show her friends,” says Facility Administrator Susan Hunt. “She told me, ‘It’s the little things in life that thrill her.’”
